Public Works
The Department of Public works is a 4 man crew and takes care of everything in the village including: Christmas Decorations, Garbage Pick Up, Mowing, Parks, Tree Trimming, Water, Streets, Plowing, Beach, Leaf/Brush Pick Up, Celebrations.
Equipment Includes: 3 dump trucks, backhoe, sweeper, leaf vacuum and various other
Garbage is picked up every Tuesday. Recycling is picked up by Fulton County the first and third Wednesday of the month. Garbage must be placed in tied bags and put in containers. Containers cannot be set out more than 24 hours prior to collection and must be removed the same day as collection. Garbage cans and recycling cans cannot be placed in the street. They need to be placed in the terrace (ROW) area or in the mouth of driveway. Do not place garbage cans or recycling cans on snowbanks. Brush is picked up typically on Thursdays, spring-fall.
Leaves can be raked to the curb and will be picked up.
